RE: Steinbrueck Employment at Children’s
Dear Mr. Barnett:
Thank you for your prompt response regarding our inquiry with questions about the propriety of former Councilmember Peter Steinbrueck working for Children’s Hospital on its master planning process.
In your letter, you cite a provision within the administrative rules that allows any person subject to or affected by the Ethics and Elections Commission administered ordinances to request a written advisory opinion. The provision you cite states that the person should explain ALL the pertinent facts and circumstances in his or her request for an opinion.
In light of the inquiry from the Laurelhurst Community Club, is it your position that former Councilmember Steinbrueck has provided ALL of the information necessary for an advisory opinion? We believe that it would be extremely helpful to resolve these issues at this point to avoid any possible future complaint with the Ethics and Elections Commission on this matter.
Thank you for your continued assistance.
Sincerely,
Jeannie Hale, President
