RE: Steinbrueck Employment at Children’s
Dear Suzanne and Peter,
The Laurelhurst Community Club Board of Trustees has reviewed the letter submitted by former Councilmember Peter Steinbreuck to the Ethics and Elections Commission regarding the propriety of his employment at Children’s as a mediator, problem-solver and ombudsman working between the hospital and citizen and organizations on matters related to the Children’s master planning process. We have also reviewed the advisory opinion issued by the Ethics and Elections Commission.
Could you please provide us with copies of any employment contract or agreement, memorandum of understanding, correspondence relating to the employment or similar documents? We would appreciate receiving these materials at your earliest convenience. The letter submitted to the Ethics and Elections Commission does not indicate what, if any, involvement there would be with city agencies such as the Department of Planning and Development. We would also appreciation clarification on this issue.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Sincerely,
Jeannie Hale, President
