Save Union Bay Association Community Meeting
SUBA invites neighbors to attend a community meeting Thursday, April 15 at 7 p.m; Laurelhurst Community Center, 4554 NE 41st Street. The group recently received a $30,000 grant from the Department of Ecology to develop an Integrative Aquatic Vegetation Management Plan. The agenda includes an overview of the timeline and process of planning, the addition of new members to the Steering Committee, and questions. Friends of the Seattle Public Library Book Sale
More than 100,000 books, CDs, records, videos, sheet music, art prints and posters are among the items up for sale at bargain prices. On Sunday, everything is half price. Please bring your own boxes or bags. April 16 to 18; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Magnuson Park, Building 30. Free. A preview for Friends of the Library members will take place from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday, April 16. Memberships may be purchased or renewed at the door or by calling 206-386-4098.
